Lubricator (LUB)
DeepWiki – The well service authority

Lubricator (LUB) is a pipe that comes in different lenghts that is mounted together to get the desired height of toolspace and breaking point.
The Lubricator is placed over the BOP.
The purpose of the Lubricator is to be able to place a toolstring inside, when depressurized.
When the toolstring is assembled inside we pressure-test the Lubricator, then open the BOP/Christmas tree,
and run the toolstring into the well.
